Ten Golden Myths: Ten Outrageous Myths Peddled About the Gold Mine in Rosia Montana, Romania
About the author
Kirk Leech is a freelance journalist, broadcaster, and researcher.
For many years, Kirk's energies were devoted to revolutionary politics in the UK. Latterly his interests have expanded to issues in the developing world, having travelled and researched in Brazil, Ghana and India with the international Educational NGO WORLDwrite. Kirk is undertaking postgraduate studies in development and environment at King's College, University of London.
Kirk is currently employed as Project Officer for the Research Defence Society (RDS). RDS represents UK medical researchers in the public debate about the use of animals in medical research. Kirk Leech also serves as Editorial Consultant for Rising East.
All publications are, to some extent at least, collaborative efforts. This is very much the case with Golden Myths. It would have been impossible to have completed the research and published the findings without the help and intellectual encouragement of Mark Beachill. Mark writes far too occasionally on economic matters, hopefully this research will spur him to write more. Any praise for this website should also go to him, it was no collaborative effort; Mark designed and developed it himself. Without him my research on Rosia Montana would have stayed just as an interesting idea.(email mark@unacode.com)
